A midwest refiner realized their FCC bypass line expansion joint had a failed bellows and was leaking. The client contacted Valtech Engineering and within 24 hours a complete design solution was engineered meeting current EJMA and ASME design codes. As the Valtech onsite services team mobilized the repair kit including clamshell bellows were fabricated and shipped to site. The online repair was complete with the team working with supplied air. With first priority safety, the expansion joint was installed successfully and client remained online.
