European styrene expansion joint refurbishment completed

Valtech Engineering worked together with a major European styrene monomer plant to refurbish a 42 inch diameter, three hinge expansion joint piping network. The expansion joints had broken hinge hardware supports that lead to bellows deformation and ultimately failure.

By replacing the bellows elements onsite and repairing the line and floating hardware, the customer avoided ordering a full new piping network which would include replacement of all costly 800H ducting and hardware.
